2026 Syllabus - Guitar - Acoustic / Electric / Bass
All soloists competing in guitar must memorize their selected piece(s) unless otherwise stated.
Must be performed on an acoustic, electric or bass guitar with or without accompaniment. Only the student will be adjudicated. The accompaniment may only be chords or power chords on guitar.
Competitors must not enter a class below their current level of study; they may however enter one class one level higher than their current level of study.
Original music must be provided. Personal arrangements may be hand-written but must be in standard notation, or in standard notation wth tab.
Amplifiers will be provided.
It is required that anyone wishing to qualify for a scholarships perform in TWO or more solo classes in the same discipline.
Solo - Plectrum
Solo - Fingerpicking Style
Solo - Chording With Vocal
Competitors must sing while accompanying themselves with chords. Only the guitar performance will be adjudicated.
Solo - Trinity College
All selections must come from the Trinity College London Rock and Pop course or the Acoustic Guitar course.
