2026 Syllabus

Welcome! A few things to keep in mind while reviewing the syllabus and registering.

1. If you have an account from 2025, you can log in. If you forgot your password, please use the forgot password link to reset.

2. If you are new to the Ciniki system, you will need to create an account.

3. Please ensure that you have reviewed the rules and regulations.

4. Piece titles, composers and authors of texts are required. In order to assist with proofreading, please ensure that they are spelled correctly. Please provide the full name of the composer and/or author. If you do not have that information at the time of registration, please put "tba" in those fields, however the information must be entered prior to registration closing Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11.59 pm.

5. If you are a solo competitor involved in other disciplines and/or groups such as school bands, choirs or drama groups, please include that information in the comments section of the registration. This is very important for scheduling to avoid conflicts. 

6. The festival enjoys a generous scholarship program. Competitors must enter TWO or more solos classes in the same discipline to be eligible.

7. If you are entering a group(s) and there is overlap in the group(s) such as band members, please indicate the actual number of students attending the festival not the number of members in each band. This will assist us with seating arrangements.

8. If you are a school registering, please fill out the busing subsidy form and email it to the festival office at norfolkmusicalartsfestival@gmail.com
