2026 Syllabus - Percussion
Competitors must not enter a class below their current level of study; they may however enter one class one level higher than current level of study.
Memorization is required unless otherwise stated. Music must be provided.
It is required that anyone wishing to qualilfy for a scholarship perform in TWO or more solo classes in the same discipline.
Solo - Percussion
May be performed on any percussion instrument.
Solo - Percussion Drum Kit
To be performed on a full kit which will be provided. Time for a short warm-up at the start of the class will be allowed. The structure of the performance will be 32 bars of rock or swing/shuffle beat, 32 bars of ad lib solo, 32 bars of original rock or swing/shuffle beat. Performers are encouraged to add fills at the end of the 8 bar phrases. A copy of the original pattern must be provided.
