Competitors must not enter a class below their current level of study; they may however enter one class one level higher than current level of study.
All soloists competing in piano must memorize their selected piece(s) unless otherwise stated.
There will be no practicing allowed during the Festival on any pianos used in performances.
It is required that anyone wishing to qualify for a scholarship perform in TWO or more solo classes in the same discipline.
Only the student will be marked. One member of the duet must be in indicated year of study. Second member may be family member, teacher, or another student (any age/level). Memorization not required.

The Festival recognizes that duets are not listed in Conservatory syllabi. Competitors' selections should reflect the level of difficulty of their current level of study. If these levels fall into two different classes, competitors should use their best judgement based on the lower of the two levels. Duets need not be memorized.
